At one time, I thought it was the greatest crisis facing humanity. Years later, a certain enlightened, well educated, "right-thinking" sector of the human population, having taken this fear to heart, finds itself a shrinking island in a rising sea of those whose attitude towards reproduction is just a wee bit different. It's like pacificm - those who accept it do not change the world so much as they end up passively helping the most aggressive. I remember thinking how much I used to fear overpopulation.
