Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen Speaks Out

There is also a tendency, out of fear or weariness, to just feel ‘let’s move on already’ and that the response then is ‘okay, you win’ and to just give in. But that will do noone any good.

“New harsh attack from minister on business community

The minister for taxes criticises parts of the business community for placing profits over principles and the minister accuses “Danish Industry” of not respecting freedom of speech. Yesterday EU gave Denmark its full support”…………………………………….

Berlingske Tidende 28-2-2006

Ha! Full support my behind!
Most of our friends in the EU would like once again to say sorry…

(“Yesterday Denmark signed a joint EU-declaration in which the EU “regrets” that these drawings have been regarded as insulting and distressing for Muslims around the world. In the declaration solidarity with Denmark is expressed once again, but it is also stressed that efforts must be made to improve dialogue between the west and Islam. At yesterday’s meeting between the foreign ministers of the EU, a number of countries lead by Great Britain had wished for a wording which stressed a clear cut distancing from the cartoons but Holland opposed this.”)
