It just really can get my knickers in a twist to see things like what the 60 Minutes journalist did. I don't even think he was being especially dishonest. Just very, very lazy, relying people who would sell their grandmother for media coverage. If he wanted to, he could have gotten Laban to talk about why he rejects the Danish society (he can provide some rather blood-chilling answers there) - instead he asked him why he was hurt. This has been repeated on both 60 minutes and in the New York Times. I forget the name of the "journalist" in question, but you probably know it. 60 minutes is lazy and stupid. They came to Denmark with a pre-conceived political agenda -- Danes are racist against poor brown people! -- and they cut the facts to fit that agenda. (The BBC did the same thing.) And don't forget, the 60 minutes frontman Dan Rather was forced to resign for lying about Bush's military record using forged documents. Also, most of the people connected with that show are in their 70s and 80s. They adopted their preconceived political ideas in the 50s and 60s and never changed them. It's actually a badge of honor to be slandered by 60 Minutes.
